Refund Policy

CalorieAI does not offer refunds for subscription purchases. Please read this policy carefully before subscribing.
1. No Refund Policy
All purchases made through CalorieAI are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits for:
- Monthly subscription fees
- Annual subscription fees
- Partial months of unused subscription time
- Unused scan credits or features
Why no refunds? Our pricing is designed to be affordable and transparent. The costs associated with AI processing, database access, and payment processing make individual refunds impractical while maintaining our low price point.
2. Cancellation Policy
While we do not offer refunds, you may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Before renewal: Cancel anytime to prevent future charges
- After cancellation: You retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period
- How to cancel: Email support@yangqing.one with "Cancel Subscription" in the subject line
Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of any fees already paid.
3. Free Trial
CalorieAI offers a free tier with 2 scans per day. We recommend using the free tier to evaluate the Service before purchasing a Pro subscription. The free tier allows you to:
- Test AI food recognition accuracy
- Evaluate the user interface and features
- Determine if the Service meets your needs
Since you can fully evaluate the Service before purchasing, we do not offer refunds for Pro subscriptions.
4. Exception: Service Unavailability
In the rare event of extended service outage, we may provide compensation at our sole discretion:
- Outage over 48 hours: 14-day subscription extension
- Outage over 7 days: 30-day subscription extension or account credit
This is provided as a courtesy and does not constitute a refund. Planned maintenance does not qualify for compensation.
5. Payment Disputes
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, please contact us within 30 days of the charge:

- Include your account email and transaction details
- We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
Chargebacks: Filing a chargeback with your bank or PayPal without first contacting us may result in immediate account suspension and potential legal action to recover funds.
6. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with 30 days advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified via email and will retain their current price until their next renewal date. Price changes do not entitle existing subscribers to refunds.
7. Account Deletion
If you delete your account, all data will be permanently removed. No refunds are provided for remaining subscription time. We recommend using all subscription benefits before account deletion.
